Great Northwest Oktoberfest Hop Queen 2024-25

 

The Great Northwest Oktoberfest is all about winding down the busy summer season, blowing off some steam and having fun!

We are looking for the kind of Hop Queen that embodies the qualities that the community of Whitefish has come to relish in its absolute relentless pursuit of fun!

What Does A Hop Queen Do?

You are the smiling face of Oktoberfest, helping festival-goers of all ages have an amazing experience. You must be fun, creative, outgoing and lighthearted, and dedicated to spreading Oktoberfest cheer throughout the land! Whether you’re recruiting kids to do the Chicken Dance, talking their parents into doing a little stein-holding or leading a conga line through the Hofbrau Bar… being Hop Queen is all about having fun and making memories with your adoring Oktoberfest subjects! You’ll represent Oktoberfest in the Winter Carnival Parade and at other community gatherings… and hopefully be part of the Great Northwest Oktoberfest for years to come!  

Hop Queen Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older

  • Must be a lover all things “hoppy” – know your hops and beer

  • Be Available for the following Schedule:

    • Attend Preliminary Contest on Wednesday, October 2nd - 6pm at Logan’s Bar at Grouse Mountain Lodge (located at #2 Fairway Drive )

    • Attend the Finals at Oktoberfest on October 3rd, 5pm – 11pm

    • Reign over the final two days of 2024 Oktoberfest, Friday, October 4th, 5pm-11pm and Saturday, October 5th, 12noon – 11pm

    • Reign over the first weekend of 2025 Oktoberfest, the Hop Queen competition, and the crowning of next year’s queen. (Dates TBA)

    • Attend 2025 Winter Carnival Parade on the Oktoberfest Float

Hop Queen Grand Prize for 2024-25

  • $500 CASH PRIZE

  • $500 CASH DONATION to the local charity of your choice

  • Authentic German Dirndl provided and sponsored by MyDirndl.com

  • Complimentary Food & Beverage at the Oktoberfest Events

  • Floral Hop Crown
